Join Legislative Committee
The NPH Legislative Committee was formed in 1983 to focus on local, statewide and national housing legislation and public policy. The Legislative Committee (also known as the Legislative Issues Working Group) closely follows changes in legislation and works to create Action Alerts. The group distributes timely information to members via weekly bulletins, monthly newsletter articles, and through email discussion group.

The Legislative Committee meets monthly and receives briefings from the Housing California advocates and staff. Ad-hoc subcommittees work on issues such as permanent source of financing at the state level, the low income housing tax credit, bond financing, Section 8, preservation and homeless housing assistance programs.
