NPH Alliance Partners
One way that NPH amplifies the voice of key stakeholders in support of affordable housing is by initiating and cultivating relationships with related and allied groups.

Association of Bay Area Governments
The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) is one of more than 560 regional planning agencies across the nation working to help solve problems in areas such as land use, housing, environmental quality, and economic development.

Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Development
The Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Development (Bay Area Alliance) is a multi-stakeholder coalition established in 1997 to develop and implement an action plan that will lead to a more sustainable region. Bay Area Alliance provides a unique and valuable forum in which representatives of the Three Es of Sustainable Development (Three Es) - prosperous economy, quality environment, and social equity - and government leaders at all levels come together to address major regional challenges.

Bay Area Council
Founded in 1945, the Bay Area Council is a business-sponsored, CEO-led, public-policy organization representing employers dedicated to promoting economic prosperity and quality of life in the region.

Greenbelt Alliance
Greenbelt Alliance is the Bay Area's citizen land conservation and urban planning organization. Founded in 1958, Greenbelt Alliance is dedicated to protecting the region's Greenbelt of open space and making our communities better places to live. Through its Livable Communities Program, it works to encourage smart growth instead of sprawl. Greenbelt believes that designing compact, pedestrian-friendly, transit-oriented neighborhoods that include affordable housing is critical to preserving open space and ensuring a sustainable region.

Great Communities Collabarative
The goal of the Great Communities Collaborative is for half of the Bay Area’s new homes, between now and 2030, to be located in walkable neighborhoods near transit. These neighborhoods will have a mix of jobs, shops, community services, and homes affordable to families of all income levels. The members of the collaborative are committed to promoting this vision of sustainable and equitable development and to ensuring that residents are deeply engaged in planning for transit-oriented development (TOD) in their neighborhoods.
The Great Communities Collaborative is a unique cooperative relationship between four Bay Area nonprofit organizations – Greenbelt Alliance, the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California, the Transportation and Land Use Coalition, and Urban Habitat – and the national nonprofit Reconnecting America. The East Bay Community Foundation and The San Francisco Foundation are also part of the collaborative.

Silicon Valley Leadership Group
The Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) is organized to involve principal officers and senior managers of member companies in a cooperative effort with local, regional, state and federal government officials to address major public policy issues affecting the economic health and quality of life in Silicon Valley. Currently, SVLG addresses the following five core issues: affordable housing, comprehensive transportation, reliable energy, quality education and a sustainable environment.

Transportation and Land Use Coalition
The Transportation & Land Use Coalition is a ground-breaking partnership of more than 80 groups working to maintain the region’s renowned high quality of life, achieve greater social equity, and protect our natural environment.
