Dianne Spaulding, Executive Director, NPH
Dianne is widely recognized for her leadership and voice in the affordable housing movement. Because of her depth of experience, she is frequently an invited panelist, moderator and keynote speaker for conferences, rallies and workshops. Dianne speaks on housing policy, funding opportunities for affordable housing, and local action strategies, such as the housing element process and advocacy coalitions that spur citizen action. Geeta Rao, Policy Director, NPH
Geeta is a frequent speaker on affordable housing and land use issues. She is called upon by media and members alike on policies linked to development of affordable housing, including smart growth, transit oriented development and regional land use policy. She has been quoted widely in local and regional newspapers. Her experience puts her on the training and panelist circuit with community organizations and advocacy coalitions. Previously, she directed the Community Design program at Urban Ecology where she managed several participatory-planning projects including: BART plaza design and corridor planning in the Mission District, park design and neighborhood planning in West Oakland, and intermodal transit station design in Visitacion Valley.
